Hotel Milano

The hotel was great to stay in, and the staff were kind. Since we were a group of friends, we were very happy with the option of having 4 single beds separated from one another. The location of it makes it easy to travel around Rotterdam and visit the Expo hall where TwitchCon was being held. Whilst the surrounding region might not be the most welcoming area to be in, it does contain a lot of the amenities that are needed to have a pleasant stay. I'll definitely come back here for next year's Convention.

The hotel is close to the central station, only about a 15 minute walk away. We contacted them about a request beforehand, and said it was all okay. On sign in, they said that they may not be able to but they followed through and allowed it. It was nice to find a room with three single beds, as they're hard to find. It was also very spacious. Breakfast was included, though it is only a basic buffet with orange juice, croissants, yoghurt, cerial, and fruit. You were given a standard NFC key card but you also was given access to a website which allows you to open the doors remotely. I think this is a great idea if you loose your card and allows for easy access to it. There is a safe, a fridge and a coffee machine in the room and provided with disposable cups for hot and cold drinks. That was an added bonus.

The 3 beds room we had was clean and well fournished, little fridge, kettle, coffee machine, tea, a strong box, a nice wardrobe. The toilet and shower were very clean. Beds are comfortable too. The breakfast is also good and with plenty of choices, you just need to get there early because after an hour there can be a lack of some product. The staff is nice and welcoming too. And a secure parking is available 3-5 minutes walk from the hotel for 13 euros a day.
